Singer Mangalampalli Balamurali Krishna was born on 6 July 1930 in Sankaraguptam, East Godavari District. He was an Indian Carnatic vocalist, playback singer, composer and actor. He composed over 400 compositions in Telugu, Sanskrit, Kannada and Tamil cinema industry. Bala murali Krishna compositions are devotional, varnams, krithis, javalis and thillans.

Several music directors, singers, actor, actress expressed condolence to the demise of Balamurali Krishna. He conducted more than 25,000 concerts all over the world. In 1967, he was acted in a tamil film Bhakta Prahlada played the role of Naradar.
